Mental Theft - Another 'mad man' nabbed with 18 ATM cards, money, jewelry in Ondo

It seems this the the period where mentally deranged people are being swooped upon because few days after a supposed mad man was arrested in Lagos State with 22 Automatic Teller Machine (ATM cards), another mad man has been arrested in Ondo State with 18 ATM cards, huge sum of money and jewelry.

Vanguard reports that the middle aged man was arrested in Ijapo area of Akure, after some residents in the area suspected him of being an armed robber monitoring the area and when he was arrested and interrogated, he could not explain what he was doing in the area, as he spoke incoherently.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Femi Joseph, confirmed the development, saying that the man would be evaluated medically to ascertain his mental state.

“We do not want to presume that he is a mad man. There are medical tests he needs to undergo for us to believe him.

If at the end of the day he is found to be a robber, as it is being speculated, he will face the wrath of the law.”
