Seriake Dickson - Governor’s sister rescued from kidnappers after 2 months


The younger sister of Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has been rescued from her kidnappers after spending two months in captivity.

This was disclosed via a statement released by Dickson’s media aide, Daniel Iworiso-Markson on Monday, February 29, 2016.


According to Iworiso-Markson, 26-year-old Nancy Dickson, was rescued on the evening of Sunday, February 28.

“Some of the kidnappers took to their heels while others were apprehended following a tip off on their hideout,” he said.

He said further that no ransom was paid for her release.

Ms Dickson had been abducted by unknown gunmen on December 19, 2015 in Yenagoa, the state capital.
