Nigerian woman forced into prostitution cries out

A Nigerian woman identified simply as Vivian, who was trafficked to Malaysia from Edo State by an alleged sponsor known as Precious Edafe, has cried out after the woman who had promised her a good job, turned her into a $ex slave and made to pay the sponsor 1000rm, (about N50,000), weekly.


According the 31-year-old Vivian who said she could not meet up with the demands of the contract owing to her age, Edafe who is also known as Madam Sylvia, allegedly sent her boys to kidnap her.

Vivian said she was taken to another part of the Asian country called Nilai, where she was gang-raped and beaten till she lost consciousness and when she was revived, she had several bruises including a broken arm.

A report has been made to the Malaysian government and police with Edafe being declared wanted by the Nigerian embassy in that country. She is said to have absconded from her residence in Batu Cave while her shop at the Mutiara Complex in Kuala Lumpur, has been closed down.

On her part, Vivian says she wants to come back to Nigeria where she hoped to treat herself via alternative medicine as doctors in Malaysia have suggested they could amputate her hand.
