Man killed by lover in Nairobi Slum in fight for control of TV remote

A middle-aged man died on Tuesday, January 12 after being stubbed by his girlfriend in what has been described as a fierce fight for control of the TV remote.

Police have said that the man died from excessive bleeding after his lover stubbed him on the neck as they were fighting.


“The couple were watching TV together when they started bickering on who should have the TV remote control. Things got out of hand and the woman ended up stabbing her boyfriend,” said Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome.

The woman has since been arrested and will be arraigned in court to face murder charges.
