8 people who collected out of N10 billion loot

Details have emerged as to how former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki distributed N10 billion in allegedly looted funds to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others.

Dasuki is said to have received a sum of $47 million from the Central Bank of Nigeria, supposedly to be shared among the PDP members, according to Nation.
The money was reportedly shared as follows:
  1. N1.45 billion to Acacia Holdings Limited for “special prayers”
  2. N2.1b given to DAAR Investment and Holding Company Limited for publicity
  3. N90million to Brains & Hammers Ltd for the purchase of 7-bedroom duplex
  4. N380m to support re-election of members of the House of Representatives
  5. N750m paid to Reliance Referral Hospital Limited for special prayers.
  6. N670m paid to ThisDay Publisher, Nduka Obaigbena.
  7. N260m to Tony Anenih.
  8. N345million to former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu.
Dasuki is at the center of the massive money laundering investigation and is alleged to have supervised the looting of the funds which were meant for the procurement of arms for Nigeria's military.
He was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on December 1, 2015 and handed over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) the day after.
The former NSA is reported to have implicated several prominent persons in the deal including former governors, ex-ministers and members of the PDP.
Dasuki’s lawyer however denied the report that his client had become an informant while the former NSA said that ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan was aware of the transactions he had made.
Jonathan has however denied authorizing the release of the stated funds despite the former NSA’s claim that he got the necessary presidential approval for the transactions.
