Signs your partner has a problem

A lot of se.xual acts can be chalked up to being young, experimental or simply curious. But where is the line between a healthy need for se.x and obsessive one?

The list of behaviors associated with a se.xual addict is so mundane, practically anyone can tick off at least a couple. Consistent use of pornography. Unsafe se.x. Phone or chat-room se.x. One-night stands, extra-marital affairs, GPS hook-ups, obsessive online dating. The list is long and gets darker the further down you go: compulsive masturbation, exhibitionism, voyeurism, prostitute.


Here are some signs that your partner might be a se.x addict.

1. Being flaky: A se.x addict is so obsessed with thoughts of se.x (when they will have it, how they will have it, what se.xual material to get) that they lose track of time. Se.x is number one, anything else comes second so they find it difficult to keep their word and you will notice they are very unreliable when it comes to keeping to time.

2. Financial fishiness: Being obsessed with se.x usually cost a lot. Your partner would have no idea how they spend their money. They cannot give you a straight answers and you notice something fishy about their spending habits.

3. Childhood obsession: Often times, se.x addicts are people who were se.xually abused as kids. You notice this if your partner cannot simply let his/her past go. Sometimes, you even notice they feel shame about their childhood experience. Addicts feel shameful about their se.xual behavior.

4. Unsafe se.x: Se.x addicts are thrill seekers and this often mean they will take unnecessary risks when it comes to se.x. They have no problem ignoring the use of protection because, they are so obsessed with the end game that they do not consider their own health.

5. Serial dating: Se.x addicts are hardly ever single. They go from one relationship to the next, and they have a history of cheating on their partner.

6. Lying: Se.x addicts lead a double life and they need to lie incessantly to cover it up. If you catch your partner time and time again being dishonest, then something is fishy.
