In India - Woman cuts pen!s of brother-in-law who has been raping her as evidence

A 32-year-old Indian housewife who was regularly raped by her brother-in-law did the unthinkable by cutting off her assailant's penis and taking it to a police station to use as evidence, Times of India reports.

The woman told officers that her husband's brother had been raping her repeatedly and anytime she complained, no one believed her, hence her decision to cut the manhood to hold as evidence as that was the only way the attacks could stop.

The victim also told the told officers that on the final occasion where she cut the randy man's penis, she had faked consent and when he pulled off his trouser, she brought the knife she had hidden and sliced off his genitals.

She then ran to the police with the bloodied organ and the police rushed to the house in the Churhat area in Sidhi district, only to realise that the suspect had committed suicide. The man's body was found hanging from a tree near the house.

The woman told officers that her husband works in Nashik, another part of the town and she was living with her brother-in-law.

"When he forced himself on me, I faked consent and severed his privates with a sickle," she reportedly told police.

However, the woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
