Burglar got his head stuck in protector for 8 hours

It was a bad day in the office for a burglar who went to steal from a shop inside the Plateau Club in Jos, the capital of Plateau State on Wednesday, February 10, as he got his head stuck in the protector of the shop.

According to witnesses, after breaking into the shop, he stole some items and threw them outside with the intention of climbing out to make away with his loot but while trying to climb out, his neck got hooked on the protector rails and could not extricate himself.


It was in this position that the thief was found in the morning by the shop attendants more than eight hours after being in that uncomfortable position. The police had to call in some welders who had to cut the irons so that the he could be removed.

An eyewitness who saw the burglar wrote this on Faebook:

"I went to the shop yesterday in the morning to barb my hair only to find that. He has been hooked since midnight and when he was removed, he couldn't stand erect because of serious backbone problem.

He had been in a bending position for over 8 hours, so imagine how he might have felt. This is a big punishment from God, greater than what he might had probably encounter with securities."
