A gruesome street fight has claimed the eye of a young man in Lagos after two street gangs engaged themselves in a bitter war of supremacy in the Island area of the state.


According to witnesses, a group of bandits who call themselves Idumota Boys decided to take on the Church Street Boys to claim control of some parts of the Island on Thursday, January 21, and the fight which started with sticks and bottles, metamorphosed into the use of more dangerous weapons like knives, machetes, axes and guns as it turned real bloody.

In the end, one of the fighters had a knife buried in his eyes and was rushed to the hospital while his colleagues continued the battle.
