President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the accusation against him by the former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, that he received a cash of $300,000 from him.
Dasuki disclosed this in his statement to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). But the President said he never received a kobo from the ex-NSA.
According to the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari only received two brand new vehicles from the Presidency before his inauguration on May 29, 2015.
Speaking in an interview with Eagle Online, Adesina said the SUVs - Toyota Land Cruiser, were sent to Buhari following the attack on his vehicles in Kaduna State by Boko Haram terrorists.
“After the attack, he (Buhari) got two Land Cruiser SUVs, one armoured, the other not. No cash”, Adesina told the online news portal in a separate text message.
Pulse recalls that Buhari was attacked in July 2014 by the Boko Haram militants on Ali Akilu Road, Kawo-Kaduna.
