Jonathan Knew About How I Spent Over N337b - Dasuki

Sambo Dasuki, the former National Security Adviser has revealed how over N337b was spent, he also gave a breakdown of the departments that got the equipment.

The former NSA said he is being witch-hunted, adding that the committee investigating the arms purchase deals, never invited him for questioning.


According to Daily Post, Dasuki said all contracts and payments were approved by former President Goodluck Jonathan, adding that he followed due process.

He said “And Nigerians should note that all the services generated the types of equipment needed, sourced for suppliers most times and after consideration by the Office of the NSA, the President will approve application for payment. For sensitive sectors (military/security), there was no room for awarding fictitious contracts. The conclusions of the panel were presumptive, baseless and lacked diligence.

“There were no fictitious contracts; contract sums were not diverted and the relevant services in writing acknowledged delivery of equipment. For all procurements, the Nigerian Army, the Air Force and the Nigerian Navy have their contractors.”

Making reference to a memo with number NAF/905/D/CAS of November 28, 2014, Dasuki said the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Adesola Amosu acknowledged the receipt of 4x Alpha jets attack aircraft and the helicopters.

Also, on he said the Chief of Air Staff confirmed that he received an F-7 N1 aircraft with a combination of 250kg bombs and some accessories worth $2,894,000, including freight cost of $1,200,000, on 10/21/14.

Sambo Dasuki was allegedly implicated by a 13 man committee set up by President Buhari to investigate various arms purchase deals.
