ELECTRICAL\MECHANICAL LWD TECH II
JOB DETAILS
Under general supervision, performs maintenance and inspection on Measurements while drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down-hole tool electronics and other equipment used in the application for down-hole tools including Directional and/or LWD sensors. Assembles and disassembles Measure while drilling and/or Logging While Drilling down- hole tools. Identifies tool usage sheet and determines maintenance schedule required, Verify whether preventative maintenance is scheduled on the inserts. Areas of specialization within Product Service Line (PSL) may include: electronics aptitude, computer skills, surface equipment, and down-hole tools.

Job tasks, correctly performed, have
minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Error is readily
ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected. Skills are typically
acquired through an Associates degree or similar education and 6-12 months
experience as a Downhole Mechanical Tech I or equivalent tool technician
training or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to
successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Basic computer skills
are required.
Given the nature of oil field
service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition,
subtraction, multiplication, and division is required. Basic reading
comprehension and writing skills are required. Promotes safety awareness and
environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and
environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health,
Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes
an active part in the quality improvement process. Military training may be
substituted for this minimum requirement.
Ability to work 24 hour call and
respond to call outs within one hour. Ability to accept calls for off loading
equipment and complete the appropriate Quality Control documentation including
shipping documents. Knowledge of HMS and Tool Operations manual and Global
Maintenance Standards for specific sub PSL. Ability to locate, read and understand
tool drawing from PSL-specific Tool Manual. Adheres to HSE guidelines, Safety
training compliance including Job risk assessments. Must have a valid driver
license. Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing, as well as all other
relevant post offer requirements for job. Basic computer skills required.
FIELD ENGINEER II MWD\LWD
JOB DETAILS
Under general supervision, provides on-site supervision of the Logging- While-Drilling (LWD) process, including tool preparations, data acquisition, log generation and Quality Control (QC) and delivery of the services to the customer. Serves as the lead engineer on most jobs. Ensures that all data presented to the customer is accurate, timely and meets the highest service quality standard possible. Ensures that expected and needed data and possible problems are provided to the customer. Provides technical consultation to all of Halliburton’s clients.

This includes mud hydraulics, Bottom
Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, the mud
system and BHA dynamics. Properly tests all tools and equipment before, during
and after each job. Identifies and corrects operational problems to prevent or
minimize service impact. Accurately completes all required forms, databases and
reports (i.e. service vouchers, lost/damaged equipment, radiation site survey,
End of Job Customer Survey (EJCS) report, First Alert Database
(FAD)/Correction, Prevention and Improvement (CPI).
Ensures BHA’s are assembled as
planned, including correct make-up torque, doping and handling. Aware of
customer requirements regarding directional survey procedures. Interfaces with
the Directional Driller (DD) to ensure BHA compatibility, planned operating
parameters are within specification and correct tool face references are applied.
Participates in performance improvement initiatives as required.
Skill acquired through completion of
an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline, completion of the basic M/LWD
training program and 6-12 months working as a Field Prof-LWD, I. Must have
successfully passed company tests, or met task guideline requirements. Ability
to demonstrate technical aptitude to required standards. Must possess good
communication, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills. Requires ability to
read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional survey
information and other well site data. Must possess relevant on and offshore
safety certificates. This is a field position.
SENIOR FIELD ENGINEER DIRECTIONAL
DRILLING

Take the lead position on select Directional Drilling (DD) projects as a Senior DD Field Professional. Share your technical and operational expertise with external customers in a professional manner. Advise clients on Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) selection and all aspects of Directional Drilling performance. Ensure that BHA’s are assembled as planned, including correct makeup torque, doping and handling.
Take the lead position on select Directional Drilling (DD) projects as a Senior DD Field Professional. Share your technical and operational expertise with external customers in a professional manner. Advise clients on Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) selection and all aspects of Directional Drilling performance. Ensure that BHA’s are assembled as planned, including correct makeup torque, doping and handling.
You should be proficient in the use
of Directional Drilling computer software and be able to provide advice and
analysis to the client representative at the work site. Ensure well profile
plots are up-to- date and provide the client representative with directional
survey data. Also, become fully conversant with the client’s requirements
regarding well clearance, proximity and surveying procedures.
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering,
Science, Geology or other technical discipline preferred; and equivalent
experience as a driller/tool pusher, or higher is required. Should also have
relevant offshore certificate and one year’s experience as a Level II
Directional Drilling Professional or related experience. Selected applicant
must possess good communication skills, math, data entry, and recording skills.
