CA Global Drill Rig Electrician Job

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and proactive Drill Rig Electrician to become part of the team of a renowned mining company that is based in the West African region.

 

DRILL RIG ELECTRICIAN (MAINTENANCE / REPAIRS)


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on Drill Rigs.
Ensure availability and reliability of Drill Rigs.
Identify Drill Rig Electrical problems.
Ensure maintenance tasks are undertaken in accordance to prescribed quality standards.
Adhere to company and departmental practices and policies.
Prioritize custom alterations to Drill systems.
Provide support to Production team to ensure continued achievement of production targets.


REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATION(S) AND SKILL(S)
Trade Tested Auto Electrician or Diesel Mechanic.
5 years’ experience in the electrical maintenance of drill rigs in the mining industry.
Drilling certificate.
Minimum of 3 years of drilling experience.
Training qualification advantageous (Train the Trainer etc.)
Safety qualification advantageous.
Previous experience as an expatriate in Africa, providing training and mentoring to a multi-cultural team.


Contractual information:
Long term contract.
