HEAD – FINANCE OPERATIONS


JOB SUMMARY
Lead the finance operations team in managing and controlling company-wide expenditure/payment cycle as well as manage commitments/liabilities recognition process
Identify gaps in developing finance related policies and processes, ensure sufficient /finance customer management system while safe-guarding company assets


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Provide leadership in guiding finance operations staff and other internal stakeholders on periodic internal and external audits and other statutory and regulatory requirements
Establish and manage effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Provide input  into the development and implementation of of companies strategic projects
Keep a— of local and global best practices as it relates to the unit’s activities.
Identify and develop required resources (personnel and others) to achieve the unit’s goals
Continuous review of the units activities, recommend improvement initiatives and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced performance for the team
Proactively manage company’s financial risks and safeguard company’s asset
Develop, review and monitor financial procedures  and controls in the light of identified risks and gaps
Demonstrate applicable  working knowledge of NCC, NOTAP, CBN rules and regulations pertaining to the telecommunications industry
Coordinate an effective customer (internal)  and supplier relationship management
Coordinate and ensure team’s performance within the period end reporting  timelines based on  group’s directives  and guidelines
Make informed decisions from analysed data to facilitate operational efficiency
Coordinate the development  of an effective reporting system  to ensure prompt  preparation of reliable information for decision making by top management
Review and monitor enhanced financial transaction posting process to ensure company’s financial and information is of agreed quality and integrity
Coordinate the planning and management of corporate income and state taxes (deduction, account analysis, reconciliations and periodic remittance)
Develop and ensure compliance  with approved internal controls to ensure the integrity of the general ledger vendor’s sub ledgers and the accrual process
Coordinate the management and reconciliation of supplier account in the system.
Provide support to the various business divisions and regions on financial issues  and maintain commercial relationships with external stakeholders
Develop department service level agreement and review reports on key performance index
Ensure the provision of top class finance customer service for all internal and external clients
Review, develop and monitor implementation of best practice finance processes  and policies
Ensure compliance with Etisalat policies  and processes IFRS, IAS, GAAP
Carry out other activities as instructed by the Director, Finance Operations


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS   
First degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
An MBA or relevant post-graduate/ professional qualification CIMA, CFA,ACCA, ICAN, etc)

DIRECTOR, DIGITAL BUSINESS


JOB SUMMARY
Drive the Etisalat Nigeria Digital Business, i.e. data and digital services in the areas of Digital Content, Value Added Services (VAS), and Mobile Advertising, in line with the corporate strategy.
Responsible for ideation, evaluation, piloting, product development, partner development, launch, in-service delivery and P&L for these products.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
Lead the Digital Services Business with respect to product portfolio, revenue performance, asset investments, customer experience, channel strategy through effective use of partners, people, systems and processes
Develop the strategy and road map for Digital Business product portfolio to include acquisition of, deployment of and marketing of products to meet financial and other strategic objectives of the business
Responsible for the identification of mobile data monetization opportunities and the development of winning commercialization strategies
Ensure competitiveness of the portfolio of products to enable support of core businesses against competition, in order to become a leader in Digital Business Services
Responsible for driving an operating model that delivers strong business value from Digital Business Services – The successful person will be able to assess what is possible and profitable, identify untapped opportunities and align activities to capture this value
Keep a— of global and local best practice as it relates to advances and development of Digital Services.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, notably the content producer community
Contribute to corporate business planning as a member of the senior management team
Oversee the design, delivery and in-life management of propositions (incl. as add-on products and standalone services) for Digital Media to optimize/improve adoption and drive increased revenue and value share
Oversee the implementation of all projects related to the development of Digital Services and ensure timely completion against clearly defined plans/compliance to quality standards
Oversee activities that will support the acquisition and retention of Digital Services subscribers.
Establish and drive an optimal framework/business model for partnering to deliver on business objectives and targets
Contribute to the overall commercial product strategy and operating plans;
Own annual digital business operational plan and contribute at both high and detailed levels in the development of comprehensive business cases for all related product initiatives;
Monitor and control the budgetary, personnel, operational and material resource needs of the Digital Media unit to optimise performance, morale and enhance productivity;
Accountable for managing the risks associated with operational delivery and product portfolio;
Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Chief Product and Information Officer as well as the Executive Management Team;
Manage team with diverse mix of skills, ensuring strong employee engagement in line with corporate objectives
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and manage subordinates’ performance towards the achievement of overall team objectives.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Product and Information Officer


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS   
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college/university preferred.
Possession of an advanced degree, preferably an MBA, will be an advantage


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Twelve (12) to Fifteen (15) years work experience, with at least four (4) years in a senior management role in a multinational organization.
Significant experience within the Telecom industry expected.
Strong previous experience in managing cross-functional teams and cross-functional responsibilities, managing business units and delivering against key result indicators.
Previous experience as an organizational change agent desired;
Experience with financial management, resource planning, and task prioritization, budget / cost control.
Strong ability to process data, extract actionable insights and drive timely execution;
Strong commercial orientation and expertise in the execution of a variety of business models is required
Previous experience and capabilities in leading strategy and/or operational teams;

HEAD, TREASURY & CORPORATE FINANCE


JOB SUMMARY
Increase shareholders value by optimizing financing structures and cost,instituting and maintaining prudent and professional management of all projects, financial and currency risks; liquidity to optimize funds, cost, earnings and cash availability and treasury operations systems and structure.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS 
Maintain external relationships and etworks that increase the image, standing and effectiveness of the organization i.e. with local and foreign banks, credit rating agencies, CBN, SEC, NSE and the government to ensure long term financial viability
Develop and implement strategies that meet the company’s financing needs while supporting achievement of financial objectives, including minimization of financing expense.
Manage various activities related to the management of corporate cash, borrowings and investments, maintenance of banking relationships.
Ensure compliance of the company treasury activities with the company policy and in line with local constraints
Develop and implement treasury policies and ensure proper relationship management with banks
Lead the execution of  financing, acquisitions and joint ventures on behalf of Etisalat
Evaluate business scenarios based on quantitative analysis provide strategic financial analysis and advisory services on industry trends, market conditions and macroeconomic trends and forecasts
Carry out research on current trends incorporate financing and develop tools to evaluate business case projections

Maintain relationships with financial institutions other service providers such as investment banks, legal and accounting firms as required
Liaise with all levels of management to gather, analyse, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements, government requirements and operating forecasts as well as the evolution of GSM
Support the development and maintenance of system projects to support and manage cash flow on a global basis, and to improve available cash flow and banking information.
Manage balance sheet/financial structure to meet international efficiency norms and the Group’s gearing strategy compliance

DIRECTOR, LEGAL SERVICES


JOB SUMMARY
Serve as the principal legal officer in the formulation of Etisalat’s legal, corporate, business, commercial and investment policies and other strategic matters by providing legal opinion to protect its interests and mitigate risks.
Oversee the Legal Services Division and guide its personnel and activities to meet Etisalat’s overall corporate goals and objectives.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS   
Oversee the articulation of the departmental strategy in line with the overall corporate strategy
Demonstrate ownership of and communicate the department’s strategic direction and objectives to all staff.
Provide legal inputs in the formulation of Etisalat’s business and investment policies.
Advice on telecoms matters with respect to relevant regulatory matters and liaise with Regulatory and Corporate Affairs or other relevant departments of Etisalat as required.
Coordinate the execution of the department’s work programs and plans.
Establish professional litigation and legal opinion management processes, policies and procedures to ensure consistent and prudent legal advice and action.
Communicate the activities and achievements of the division to all relevant stakeholders.
Champion the definition of the division’s processes, policies and procedures.
Continually review and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s policies, procedures and processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Prepare and monitor the annual budget for the Legal Services division and take corrective actions in case of any variation.

Liaise with external legal counsels and consultants as required on litigation matters involving Etisalat.
Interpret local laws, regulations, directives, and decrees affecting Etisalat, and render advice where required to Senior Management and relevant user departments.
Advise on new laws or amendments to existing legislation.
Ensure proper coordination between the legal function and other user departments with respect to contracting with suppliers, vendors and 3rd parties ensuring that the interest of the organisation is adequately protected.
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports.
Oversee and coordinate the day to day activities of the division and ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of Etisalat.
Coordinate the preparation and compilation of agreed periodic activities and performance reports for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer.
Review and authorise key expenditures/transactions of the division in line with approved authority limits.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
First degree in law.
Postgraduate/relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Twelve (12) to fifteen (15) years work experience with at least four (4) years at senior management level.
Minimum of ten (10) years experience at the bar.

SPECIALIST, WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS


JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing an effective and efficient warehousing system to support the logistics and supply chain requirement.
Regularly update and implementation of central warehouse operational procedures(physical/system process).
Ensuring compliance by third party Logistics/Warehousing service providers with SOPs.


PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS 
Monitor warehouse operations across the nation.
Provide support for inventory and system data upload.
Oversee timely redistribution of warehoused items.
Monitor and supervise on-going warehouse expansion projects.
Ensure that stock transactions are regularly updated on the Oracle inventory system
Manage the relationship with third party logistics / warehousing service provider
Ensure that warehouse procedure are adhered to by third party (MDS)
Interface with external customers, supply chain and other regions
Maintain proper arrangement of stock in the warehouse.
Conduct impulse sport check of stock and other warehoused materials.
Ensure an up to date stock count and prompt reconciliation
Oversee delivery and replenishment of stock in sales shops and outlets.
Ensure availability of Point of Sale materials in all new and existing regions of operations.
Carry out reverse logistics of stock, sales material and POS (point of sales material) across regions
Ensure proper distribution and redistribution of stock across all regional warehouses

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS   
Assist in conducting research on new product initiatives/options for convergence targeted at Etisalat’s youth market segment and proffer recommendations to the Manager, Youth Market Segment.
Assist in developing concepts for promotional campaigns targeted at Etisalat’s youth market segment and proffer recommendations to the Manager, Youth Market Segment.
Assist in conducting research on initiatives for market penetration and market share acquisition for Etisalat’s youth market and proffer recommendations to the Manager, Youth Market Segment.
Participate in product launches targeted at Etisalat’s youth market.
Assist in conducting research on options for customer life cycle extension and proffer recommendations to the Manager, Youth Market Segment.
Assist with logistics for awareness campaigns, fairs and ad-hoc surveys aimed at promoting Etisalat’s products and services to the youth market.
Liaise with the Finance department to ensure payment of third parties where necessary.
Liaise with relevant units/teams/functions in carrying out all relevant activities.
